One of the things that we always seem to remember from our childhood is toys. The week before last I wrote a post where I shared some of the toys I had while growing up. I decided it was time to show some of the toys my sister had. See: Thursday Toys
I will start with a picture similar to one of me that was in the previous post. Here is my sister sitting in bed with a musical train she got as a birthday gift.
It is always interesting to see toys from different eras. Here are some of the toys my sister received for her 2nd birthday. They bring back some memories as I played with them several years later.
Here is my sister riding our Uncle Rick’s Hobby Horse. She was so cute.
For us, birthdays were when we usually got toys. It is good that we had pictures to show which of us owned a toy.
I also remember playing house with my sister with some of these items. The doll house furniture was a gift from me. I am not sure why the previous picture is in color and that this one is in black and white. Perhaps some one else took the color picture at a party later in the day as these two gifts are in both pictures. We were both young during that transition time between the two formats.
Here is my sister baking a cake in her Easy Bake Oven. I remember eating some of her creations 🙂
Lots of memories in these pictures.
