Wednesday Image Search – Dir

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘cir’ so this week I will continue on with ‘dir’. There will be some gaps in this sequence as not all combinations will find images.

What images will I find?

Post Office Directory, Post Office, Postmaster, Rome, WisconsinThe first image is a clip of a title page for a United States Post Office Directory.

Several of my ancestors were postmasters. See: Ancestral Postmasters

archaeology, jeans, iron age dirt, dirty clothes, laundryHere are some jeans that are caked with Iron Age dirt. See: Iron Age Dirt

Zeiss Innovation Center, Dublin, California, ConstructionHere are some rows of dirt at the construction site of our new office that opened during the pandemic.

Square, Archaeology, Area supervisor, squares, digHere is a square supervisor at a dig giving us directions as to how to excavate our squares.

Dirty Potato Chips, Snack, ChipsFinally for a food selection we have a package of “Dirty” Potato Chips.

There were not too many ‘dir’ pictures to choose from. I hope you enjoyed my selections.

Which is your favorite of these ‘dir’ pictures?

What should I search for next?  I may not continue the series with ‘eir’ as the next one as it is one of the ‘?ir’ combinations with few search results. Perhaps I will combine a few of them later and skip to ‘fir’ for now.
