This week I have been making trips into my backyard to watch the opening of my agapanthus pods.
Here is a picture from Monday, you can see that the scapes are three to four feet tall. How do you measure things in your yard? You use a yardstick π
You can see that the pod on the center scape is starting to open.
Here is a closer look at the center pod. You can see that the two bracts have started to separate and the blossoms are spilling out.
Here is a view of another pod on Tuesday. You can see how the flowers are packed inside the pod.
On Thursday three of the pods had fully opened.
This picture is from this afternoon. You can see that some of the blossoms are starting to open and you can see some blue color starting to appear.
All of the pods have now started to open. It will be interesting to see how they look at the end of this holiday weekend.
If you look back at my post Agapanthus Opening you can see some really nice pictures of the little flowers spilling out of an opened pod.
I am looking forward to some beautiful flowers.
