It is the time of year again when I start to have memories of Israel.

This week two of my friends are arriving in Israel where they are leading tour groups. The dig season is also starting and I am seeing reports from various archaeological digs.

This brings back memories of my first trip to Israel.

The wonderful tour guide who introduced us to many places around the country

My first visit to the Israel Museum.

A visit to the Temple Mount and the interesting structures like the Dome of the Tablets that were there.

I am sure that I will have many memories over the next weeks as I see pictures from the tours, and they may trigger some more posts of individual places in Israel.

For now, here is another Mediterranean sunset to end this post of memories. This was on what was supposed to be my last day in Israel. We headed to the airport that evening but I ended up staying another day, but that is another story. See: Heading Home Again
