Tonight some pictures from sixteen years ago caught my eye.

I found this interesting collection of bikes in a small courtyard in the city center of Jena, Germany.

I first saw some bikes hanging on the wall of a building.

I then looked up and there were a couple of bikes hanging up in the air over the courtyard.

I like the silhouettes of the bikes.

I wondered why these bikes were displayed like this, but there were no signs and no one around to ask.

Maybe someone was just having some fun. Or perhaps a bike club would meet in this courtyard.

Now I am wondering if they are still there sixteen years later.
