This afternoon I finally left work this week while there was still some light outside. This gave me time to walk across the parking lot and take some pictures of an ivy covered wall.
I see the wall as I arrive to work each morning, but I am always too busy to stop and take pictures. I have slowly watched the ivy cover the wall throughout the year and then turn color this fall.
In some areas of the wall there is more ivy, but even where there is less ivy the patterns are very interesting.
I like the shape of the leaves and the brilliant red color that they have changed to this fall.
Here we see different sized leaves. The big leaves are an interesting contrast to the small rows of leaves above them.
This is an interesting row of leaves. The leaves get smaller and smaller toward the end of the branch.
I will probably be taking more pictures once all the leaves fall off. There will be some interesting patterns of branches on the wall.
Do you have an ivy covered wall that you like to view?
