This year Hostess has released Red, White & Blue Twinkies for the summer holiday season.

The box has a nice design and looks very patriotic for the 4th of July.

The side of the box is just as festive.

Of course, the Twinkies are individually wrapped. Here you can see the bits of color in the Twinkies. Otherwise they look the same.

Here is one of the individual Red, White & Blue Twinkies. It looks pretty much like the picture 🙂

Of course it was time for a taste test. It seemed that the cake was a bit denser than the regular Twinkies, but what was really different was the little bits of flavor in the colored specks. I cannot exactly discern the flavor of the red and blue color, but it is there 🙂

If you are looking for a unique snack for your 4th of July party, these may be a hit.
