It is that time of year when Halloween themed food products start to show up in the stores.

Last year I wrote about Scary Candy while on a trip to Toronto.

Tonight will be the first of a several posts about scary products that I have seen or will see this year.

Of course, why not start off with Twinkies since I have already written several posts about them. I will list the previous ones at the end of this post.

Last Sunday I ran across Twinkies with Orange S’Cream filling.

Of course we have several great marketing elements here. An orange filling to go with the Halloween colors and the simple addition of an ‘S’ to get S’Cream filling.

Of course, I had to buy a box and check them out.

Here is a closer look at the box. You can see the bats flying through the sky, but if you didn’t see the S’Cream you probably would think they are just another basic Twinkies flavor.

I do like Twinkie the Kid wearing the bandanna with the Hostess logos.

Here is one of the Twinkies. They look just like normal Twinkies, but are they really normal?

I took a bit of the Twinkie and it really had a nice taste with the orange flavored cream filling. The Orange S’Cream Twinkies are definitely a hit with me.

The orange fillling does look a bit strange, but it was really good.

I have now seen several new Twinkies flavors and it makes me think about what flavors we will see next.

This was definitely a great choice for a Halloween themed Twinkie.
