Tonight I was looking back through some old digital pictures and ran across some from a trip to Yosemite.
The trip was made more than ten years ago when my parents came out to California with my Grandpa. I will share a couple pictures of him further down in the post.
The pictures were taken with a digital camera that saved the images on floppy disks. Not the best resolution in a 640×480 image.
However, these early digital pictures bring back some good memories.
In the background of this picture you can barely see Half Dome. You can also see Bridalveil at the right.
For a better view of Half Dome you can visit my Tuolumne Grove post.
I thought this was a humorous picture. It looks like a waterfall is emptying into the chimney of Ahwahnee Hotel.
Here is a picture of Yosemite Falls. I really love to see waterfalls. Especially when they have a large volume of water flowing over them. Yosemite Falls is the tallest falls in the US.
This is one of my favorite pictures that I took of my Grandpa. This picture makes me think of John Muir and other early explorers of the Yosemite valley.
I also really like this picture of my Grandpa standing in front of a tree ring display. The Giant Sequoia cross-section is massive.
These pictures bring back some great memories and I thought I would share them with you.
Steven

Lovely pictures, Steven. I love the sequoia tree section!
Precious memories. Thanks for sharing!
To think I may have been working in Yosemite when you came there for a visit.
