Thanksgiving is fast approaching and the big feast awaits. Of course, sometimes you get more than one feast. Today at work we had a Thanksgiving feast in our department. When eating the Pumpkin pie I started to think of the different types of pie that I like.Of course, for Thanksgiving Pumpkin pie is always a staple. This one that I had last year was really good. I bought it at a local bakery.

It was so good that I decided that I would also pick up pies for Christmas from the same place. Here we have Strawberry Rhubarb and Apple Berry. I really enjoyed both of them, but my favorite was the Strawberry Rhubarb. I love that mix of sweet and tangy that you get with Strubarb pie. When I lived in Missouri I would always go to the farmer’s market and get a delicious Strubarb pie from one of my Amish cousins.

The Apple Berry had an interesting taste. It was a new pie for me to try and I really like it. They both smelled wonderful as I brought them home in my car.

What other types of pie do I like?

One of my favorites is Banana Cream pie. Especially the ones that my Grandma Yoder would make.

I also like a good Apple pie. Especially with a nice side of vanilla ice cream.
