Wednesdays are always long days, so a short post tonight.
Not that I am complaining that Wednesdays are long days. Wednesday is one of my favorite days of the week. That is because we have Wednesday night Bible study and I usually have dinner with some of my friends.
But, I don’t have much time in the evening so you get a quick post tonight.
What do you get tonight?
My mind wandered to Taiwan tonight when I was looking through event notifications on Facebook. I have a friend in Taiwan who has a birthday today.
When I was in Taiwan my friend Allen (the brother-in-law of the friend who has a birthday) and I were shopping for Sunday lunch when I saw this nice four seater.
One of the interesting parts of traveling is seeing the differences in transportation in each country. I can guarantee that this would violate several laws here in the US. However, this is a very common sight in many countries. Especially large urban cities. In India, I even saw a family of six on a scooter about this same size, and only one helmet.
You should have seen some of the scooters pulling away from the grocery store. Can you imagine two adults and six sacks of groceries on one scooter? I am sure that we were quite a sight pulling away from the store as well. Two big American guys on a scooter with a load of groceries. Luckily we only had a couple blocks to travel back to the flat where Cherry was waiting with the kids for our return.
As I write this I am having good memories of my trip to Taipei and visiting with friends that I had not seen for many years. I always like it when work travel takes me to a place where I have friends.
I hope you enjoy this Wacky Wednesday post. I will try for something a little better tomorrow :-).

I think they’re really smart to travel so compacted. You could never do it here, people drive too crazy. They had a speed crack down on a major freeway last weekend and arrested a guy going 200 in a 100 (your 60 mph) and a 22 year old doing 150 in a 40 on a motorcycle. Out of control and dangerous, they have no consideration for others safety.
This is adorable!!! Love the little girls hair barrettes, so colorful … wish you had a picture of you and your friend with your groceries 🙂
