The Post Pipeline

What is in the Post Pipeline? Since I am trying to make sure that I post an entry on a regular basis, I always have ideas wandering around in my head.

Here are a few of the posts that you may see in the near future.

First, a couple of posts in my Religion in Family History series.

Amish Settlements, California, Oregon, One that I am working on is called Amish in Oregon? It is a companion piece to Amish in California? However, this one will have a specific family tie. Amish in California? is one of my top 10 visited posts and is also one of the posts that shows up most often in search results. Posts for other states may follow as there have been several states where Amish settlements have failed. I have a great source of information in The Amish in America: Settlements That Failed, by David Luthy.

Another post in the series will cover new findings in my family history. It will further expand on my recent post, Almost Canadian? I have found out further information on my ancestors participation in the resettlement of the areas where the Acadians were expelled from in Canada.

I also have a few posts in mind that will explore interesting connections in my family history. Perhaps a connection to a President, Inventor or Writer. I have not decided which one will be first. Maybe someone from the military instead.

I am also working on two posts about my family’s involvement in early California History. One family member is involved in the events of July 1846 and the other one was a 49’er.

Authors Card GameMy post about Dutch Blitz has me thinking about another card game from my childhood, so a post about the Authors card game is also in the pipeline.

I have a few more bridge pictures that I want to share, so some new posts will join Crazy Bridge and Burgauer Brücke.

I am reading a biography of E.B. White, so a post on one of his great Children’s books will most likely make an appearance. Of course, other books that I am reading may warrant a post as well.

Flowers, animals, architecture, food and other topics will find their way into the blog as well, but I don’t have any specific topics in mind at the moment.

The most exciting posts in the pipeline, for me, will start appearing early in September. I will be taking a trip to Israel, so the dynamic of the blog will change for a couple of weeks. You will see a lot of posts about Israel. Daily pictures of our sightseeing, information about food and culture and whatever subjects my mind decides to wander to during the trip. It is a trip that I have been looking forward to for a long time.

Any requests on which posts I should work on first? Which of my posts has been your favorite? I may have a similar one hidden in the recesses of my mind that you may like also :-).

Steven
