Wednesday Image Search – Cat

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘dog’ so thought I would search for another pet this week.

The word for tonight is: Cat

I had searched for ‘Cat’ before during a series of ?at words with the old title of Wednesday Word Search. I really liked the selections for that search, so decided to just post it again with a few small changes.

What images will I find?

Zeiss Innovation Center, Dublin, California, ConstructionHere is a Big Cat that was used for the sight prep of the new office I am working in.

Christ Church Cathedral - Falkland IslandsHere is a picture of Christ Church Cathedral in the Falkland Islands. Notice the large whale bone arch in front of the building. I visited the Falkland Islands on the way to Antarctica.

Alcatraz Power House - Golden Gate Bridge - Sunset on San Francisco BayHere is the power house out on the end of Alcatraz Island. You can see the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

Christmas Market, Jena Germany, snow, Christmas TimeHere is a picture from the Market square in Jena, Germany that I titled Catching snow on tongue.

Cat - Feline - Cat Eyes - Tarragon the Cat - KittyFor my final image I selected one of my favorite cat pictures. This is my favorite picture of Tarragon who belonged to some of my best friends.

I have many more images for ‘cat’ but my usual number to share is five, so I will bring this to a close.

These images show that ‘cat’ is a sequence used in many words.

Which is your favorite ‘cat’ picture?

What should I search for next? Perhaps I will choose another pet.

Oak Island – Big Metal Shield

Season 9 of The Curse of Oak Island is drawing to a close. This week there seemed to be more activity and it looks like they are building toward the finale. It seems that they are waiting for the last episode of the year to show what they have found, if anything?

In the episode tonight they showed a lot of wood pulled from the fourth large can. The wood is most likely from the well know Hedden shaft dug by a previous researcher.

Curse of Oak Island, History Channel, Did they find anything? However near the end of the episode they also started pulling up much older wood that may be from the original Money Pit. It was interesting to see a wooden peg that would have predated any searcher work.

oak Island, Money Pit, Mahone BayThey also showed some excavation work on Lot 8 where they had seen anomalies in magnetometer data. They only had a permit to excavate five feet deep where they expected to find something. They did find a large rock, which may have been what showed up as the anomaly.

Oak Island, Money Pit, National Geographic, Curse of Oak IslandThey also met with a researcher who had a new theory about the garnet broach found several seasons ago. He mentioned that it may have been a stone from a Masonic High Priest breastplate. Again, a connection to Templars. I am skeptical about this as I don’t believe it would have the right setting to be in a breastplate.

The theory is actually not new as the researcher wrote about this four years ago after the broach was first found.

Curse of Oak Island, Mahone Bay, Nova ScotiaThe biggest excitement of the episode came right at the end when the hammer grab tool brought up a large metal shield. This was expected as it was know that a shield had been used at the base of the Hedden shaft that previous searchers dug in this area.

oak island, curse of oak lsland, satellite, money pitThe preview for next week showed the metal can moving down quicker than normal which may indicate a chamber or an area of loose material. It also showed parts of what is believed to be the vault they expected to be in this area. It looks like it will be a very exciting episode.

This was episode 21 and last year there were 25 episodes, so the season is drawing to a close. They have been talking about the weather change and how they will soon have to suspend work for the year.

What did they find? How exciting will it be next week?
