3rd Great Grandparents

I have had a bit of blogger’s block tonight, but finally came up with an idea to share some early family pictures.

Sarah Jane Hellyer Cochran, 3rd Great Grandmother, Norton Kansas, Ancestors, GenealogyThis first picture is my 3rd Great Grandmother Sarah Jane Hellyer Cochran. She was born in 1831 in Virginia and died in 1913 in Norton, Kansas.

Sarah Sears Ramsey, 3rd Great Grandmother, Geneology, AncestryHere is another of my 3rd Great Grandmothers. This is Sarah Ann Sears Ramsey. She was born in about 1827 in Salem, Indiana and died in 1880 in Iowa. Her daughter Leah Elizabeth Ramsey married Lorenzo Dow Cochran the son of Sarah Jane who is shown in the first picture.

3rd Great Grandfather, David Darling, Ancestry, Geneaology, Family HistoryThis is David Darling who was my 3rd Great Grandfather. He was born about 1797. We are not sure exactly where he was born as it has been reported as New York, New Hampshire and Vermont. He died in 1868 in Millersburg, Iowa.

Rachel Kauffman - Amish - Oregon - Hubbard, Oregon - Amish SettlementsAfter the first three pictures I notice a trend that I was picking 3rd great grandparents, so here is a picture of another of my 3rd great grandmothers. I also changed the title of my post, it had previously been Early Family Pictures.

This is Rachel Yoder Kaufmann. She was born in Holmes County, Ohio in 1830 and died in Hubbard, Oregon in 1922. See my post: Amish in Oregon?

William Absolom Leeper, Ancestors, Beard, 3rd Great GrandfatherI decided that I would add in another 3rd Great Grandfather. This is William Absalom Leeper. He was born in Clayton, Ohio in 1826 and died in Guthrie Center, Iowa in 1913. This is a clip from a larger picture that can be seen in my post Irish Heritage.

I have more pictures of 3rd great grandparents so you may see a follow up post sometime in the future.
